The Shins are back with their first album since 2007′s “Wincing the Night Away.” Their new album “Port of Morrow” was recorded in late 2011 in Los Angeles and Portland will be made available on March 20th. Spring/summer tour dates have yet to be announced but the band has released the first music video from the album for their current single ”Simple Song.”
The DANIELS-directed video for the Shins’ “Simple Song” is a glossy, Wes Anderson-style journey into the fictional future of frontman James Mercer. Beginning with Mercer’s death, the clip chronicles his relationship with his three children (played by the other members of the band) as they tear through their house in search of the deed.
