In Red Bull, Skateboard / / 0 comments
For years the holy grail of all skateboard tricks, the 1080, has eluded the biggest and most talented stars in skateboarding. While many have tried, it was never landed — that is until now. A Master of Physics would say that it make sense a young kid would be more likely to pull off a 1080 because the older you are the heavier you get so the more you have to try and defy gravity. Be that as it may 12-year-old Tom Schaar of Malibu, CA is well on his way to becoming a globetrotting skateboard legend like Tony Hawk.

“The Face,” Jack Blankenship wants to be President of UA. Not student body President. The actual President. He is the face of the college and this campaign video features the music from “Rudy,” seems like a layup to me.

This Is What Being Inside A Tornado Looks Like
In VIDEO, Weather / / 1 comment
This INSANE video just confirmed that being inside a tornado is nothing like it looked when Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt strap themselves to a pipe in the closing scene of Twister. A surveillance video shows the inside of a school bus in Henryville, Indiana, as a tornado hit on March 2nd. The twister threw the bus into a building, we posted a few high quality photos of the actual bus. The bus driver deserves an award for evacuating eleven school children out of the bus moments before the twister hit.

Hopefully This Guy Has Hail Insurance
In VIDEO, Weather / / 1 comment
This is just about the craziest hail storm video we’ve seen. Some dude in McAllen, Texas shot this video of hail turning his swimming pool into a bubbling tub. Word to the wise. If you’re ever stuck in an intense hail & thunderstorm like this run to the storm cellar because it means a tornado could be nearby. Or video tape the storm and hope for the best.

Miami Marlins’ New Stadium Has A Fish Tank Backstop
In Baseball, Sports / / 3 comments
Miami Marlins have a sick new stadium. We all saw the psychedelic home run feature but they also added a fish tank backstop. These fish have better living conditions than 95% of the people on Earth and yet animal activists will still find a way to call it abuse. Next they are going to say that fish need equal rights and a workers union. These fish have a front row seats to every home game for one of the most exciting teams in baseball. They get fed every day. They have a sweet house and are the center of attention. They are fish. Activists need to calm down and see it for what it is.

Michael Jordan “The Legend” Was Born 30 Years Ago Today [10 Photos]
In Basketball, Michael Jordan / / 1 comment
On this day 30 years ago a star was born. 19 year-old Freshman guard, Michael Jordan hit the go ahead and eventual game winning shot to beat a dominant Georgetown team led by future fellow Dream Teamer Patrick Ewing to win the 1982 NCAA Championship. Interesting fact: If you look closely you see Jordan wearing a pair of baby blue Converse shoes. They were the shoe sponsor for UNC at the time, little did everyone know that Jordan would help lead Nike to become one of the most well-known companies on Earth. Here is an excerpt from a 1982 recap in Sports Illustrated: Jordan, as ice-bucket cool as a 6’5″ freshman could be, had already contributed six baskets and nine rebounds. Now with 18 seconds to go, Jordan caught Black’s pass in front of the Carolina bench. He was all alone. It was a play designed for him. He was right where he had imagined he would be on the bus ride over from the hotel, with the ball—and the game—in his hands. “I didn’t see it go in,” he said. “I didn’t look at the ball at all. I just prayed.” String music, choir. Watch the video – skip to 1:35
