Wei Ning of China won the women’s skeet for her eighth World Cup triumph. Wei, the 2003 world champion and Athens Olympic silver medalist, came from behind to outshoot Danka Bartekova (pictured) of Slovakia, a two-time World Cup winner. Bartekova put the pressure on Wei in the final with a perfect 25 hits from 25 targets, but Wei held her nerve after missing her 14th target to hit everything else and tie to force a shootoff. Wei won when she hit both of her targets and Bartekova missed one. Two-time Olympic champ Kimberly Rhode of the United States also won a shootoff to claim the bronze, beating Sutiya Jiewchaloemmit of Thailand 4-3.
