Today is a monumental day for space travel as the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket soared into space from Space Launch Complex-40 on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida at 3:44 a.m. EDT, making it NASA’s first successful involvement with the world of private space flight. If everything goes right the SpaceX “Dragon” capsule will dock with the International Space Station on Friday.
