It’s no secret that dance music is bigger than its ever been. Calvin Harris, Skrillex, A-Trak, David Guetta, Avicii, Diplo and the rest of the gang dominate just about every facet of pop culture you can think.

There are two distinct sides to the music business. The talent and the executive.

The talent is the face everyone knows, he loves the spotlight. The executive sits in the background pulling the strings and make boatloads of money. It’s that simple.

Electronic dance music is trending upward in a big way which means there is a select crew of profiteers making money hand over fist. Most of these executives are in their 20′s, have expereince in the event promotion industry and all had a huge love for dance music well before any of the artists were invited to headlining mainstream concert festivals.

Here’s a look at nine of the biggest executives in the dance music game. Get to know their names because if dance music doesn’t go away like disco there guys could be ruling the game in the years to come.

A major turning point for electronic dance music was Coachella 2011′s Sahara tent. Many of the biggest names in the dance music industry including Afrojack, A-Trak, Skrillex, Steve Angello, SKTRKT, Axwell and Duck Sauce had breakout success at the tent that weekend and reached an entirely new audience.
