Mark down another victory for Jersey City’s growing nightlife scene. The owners of Zeppelin Hall Biergarten have opened a massive 3 acre Key West/California inspired beach bar and restaurant called Surf City Restaurant and Megabar. Here is the rundown…
Key West attitude, New York lattitude! A fabulous surf inspired venue, outdoors on the water with incredible views of Manhattan and the Lower bay. 75 taps of Craft beer! Vacation style exotic cocktails! Flat griddled burgers made with the best beef and freshest ingredients! Lobster rolls! Fish & Shrimp Fry! Clams, Oysters and Ceviche at the raw bar!
Lounge in one our beach cabanas, or on the sand beach around roaring fire pits. Grab a cocktail at one of three outdoor bars. Dine with a view on one of four out door decks. Surf City is big….There’s plenty of room to meet all of your friends and an opportunity to make new ones!
Surf City is presented by developer Peter Mocco and nightlife impresario John Argento, the people who brought you Zeppelin Hall, the busiest and best beer garden in the NYC area!
Come by Car, Light Rail, PATH Train or pull your boat right up to the bar. Unlimited free parking!
The owners of Surf City are trying their best to distance the new bar from the former douche-haven Sand Bar which used to occupy the site joking with NJ.com by saying, “We went out of our way to make it as ‘un-Sand Bar’ as possible, Surf City will be steroid- and Ed Hardy-free.” Good news for us all. Expect great happy hour specials and plenty of Jimmy Buffett cover bands throughout the summer.
