You cannot start this blog any other way. It’s Guy Code. Many bros around the country have their own way of showing “Guy Code” – Whether it being your wing man and taking one for the team on a wild, boozed-filled night, or spotting you at the gym while you bench 225…215… 180 but that’s only because you worked out hard the day before.
Guy Code is always present but sometimes highly overlooked.
Naturally, going to the Season 2 premiere of MTV 2′s original series, Guy Code, I was anticipating a Guy-Code-Atmosphere. Thankfully, I got just that and then some. I showed up at New York’s bar/club, Crimson, on 21st and Broadway with a college buddy, the Goose to my Maverick, known as Bob Ganoosh. Once we entered, we were bombarded with free drinks and the not-so-common New York hostpitality that made us feel right at home. We chatted away with people who worked for the show, worked for MTV, and entrepreneurs who gave advice on how to make it in this cut-throat business…mostly, stay away from assholes.
More and more people showed up and Ganoosh, in typical Goose fashion, ejected from the cockpit early and missed out on celebs like Melanie Iglesias, one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen in my life (you’re welcome), and Donnell Rawlings AKA Ashy Larry AKA “I’m Rich, Bitch!” (you’re even MORE welcome). If Ganoosh would have stayed, he would have seen the sneak peek of Guy Code which is exactly what it sounds like (a show that centers around the subtle behavior between bros) and is absolutely hilarous. Guy Code returns for a second season Tuesday, July 17th, only on MTV 2.
Thanks to MTV2 and AXE for putting together a great premiere party. You did your job tonight by supplying me with a fun-filled Tuesday and got me very very interested in a new show that I knew not that much about.
