Christian Bale is one classy mo-fo! On Tuesday he skipped out on the ongoing Dark Knight Rises press tour and flew to Aurora, Colorado to meet with victims of the theater shooting at the hospital.
Following the tragedy at a midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises” in Aurora, internet campaigns emerged asking Bale to visit the town. A young woman named Emily Sanchez posted a request to one such Facebook campaign that went viral. “I propose we should make enough noise asking Christian Bale to visit these kids in the hospital dressed in the real Batman outfit. They need to know Heroes can be real too, not just the bad guys,” Sanchez wrote.
Boom shakalaka… ask and you shall receive. Bale arrived to Medical Center of Aurora at 2 PM and spent more than two hours visiting patients who were still being treated. He then went over to Swedish Medical Center to meet with two additional patients.
