With LDW so close you can taste the flavored vodka your girlfriend “made you” buy, you’d better be prepared to depart from point A to B with a proper weekend bag. Just because your duffel bag is Nike or Under Armour doesn’t mean it’s sufficient for travel other than the to the gym and back home. Your all purpose duffel bag worked in high school, was even acceptable in college, but it’s time to grow up, Peter Pan. Weekender’s are becoming more and more popular and you don’t want to show up to your destination to find out the rest of the guys left you and your gym bag in the dust.
Today, our friends over at Park & Bond linked up with the guys who brought you The LeBron James; Travel-bag-so-limited-you-should-be-smacked-for-attempting-to-buy-it, Ghurka. The Cavalier II ($795) and Dopp Kit ($295) come in P&B’s signature Navy with red lining. “We chose the Cavalier II because it’s the perfect size for a weekend getaway. Anything smaller is too small, and anything larger and you’re just filling up space with stuff you don’t really need for a couple days away,” says Tyler Thoreson, VP of Editorial, Creative and Customer Experience for GiltMAN and Park & Bond. “This bag is meant to be used, not put on a pedestal, so we went with a rugged twill canvas, with supple leather trim. The goal was understated luxury at an accessible price.”
