Here is a stunning look at the earthrise over the moon, shot by the HD camera on Japan’s Kaguya spacecraft. With no atmosphere to fuzz out the scene and a high-def camera and optics beaming back mega-pixels, the video is so crisp is almost looks fake. I can only imagine that astronauts, when they aren’t busy keeping their capsule together with duct tape, have to remind themselves that this is real, that they aren’t hallucinating, that this floating blue orb is of all things the most material, and not some vision from the outer reaches of the mind’s creativity. I would trip the heck out.
