101 Iconic Albums You Can Listen To On Spotify

We polled dozens of friends, family, readers and editors from top websites asking them one simple question.

What are your top 5 favorite albums of all-time?

New, retro whatever, basically the albums you could throw on right now and know all the words. The albums you would bring if you were stranded on a desert island.

We received over 150 submissions and weeded through all of them to provide (potentially) the best collection of music available on Spotify. Some people may have issues with us calling some of these albums “iconic” since you probably won’t see many of them on Rolling Stone Magazine’s “500 Greatest Albums of All-Time.” But to the person who submitted the nomination, the album left an impact on their life in one way or another which is pretty iconic if you ask me.

The Rolling Stones’ Exile On Main Street had the most nominations, Nirvana’s NevermindThe Beatles’ White Album, A Tribe Called Quest’s Midnight Marauders and Michael Jackson’s Thriller were also highly recommended. You won’t see The Beatles, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Garth Brooks or Pink Floyd on the list even though there were numerous suggestions. Unfortunately their music isn’t available on Spotify so don’t yell at us because we didn’t forget.

Without further adieu here are 101 Iconic Albums You Can Listen To On Spotify.

The History of Kanye West (Piano)

[ad box-refresh] This makes me regret quitting piano lessons when I was 12. All I learned was hot cross buns. That was beautiful. The best part is you can play this in the car with your Grandma and she’ll think you’re sophisticated now. She might be confused why you’re jamming out…
