Coachella 2013 Line-up Guide: Confirmed Acts And Dispelling Rumors

Coachella will be announcing their 2013 two weekend line-up in the next few hours or days (at the most). Get excited. Here are some pictures from Coachella 2012.

With Governors Ball dropping a bomb on the music industry today it’s now Coachella’s turn to awe us.  We’ve been following Twitter religiously for confirmations and dispelling of rumors. Here is a feed of what we’re seeing. 

Yes, confirmed

The Postal Service – Yes, confirmed by Pitchfork.

Alex Clare – Yes, confirmed by Rolling Stone Magazine.

No, just rumors

The Rolling Stones – Mick Jagger: “We’re not gonna do Coachella, ‘cos it’s too early. There was a rumour we were gonna do that one, but it’s very early, Coachella. It’s April or something, isn’t it? And we’re not gonna be ready to go by April. But we’re not gonna stop.” [NME]

Daft Punk – Not planning to tour or play live at all in 2013, according to Bestival organiser Rob da Bank.

Rumored but looking likely

Phoenix –  Band has an album and will be doing festivals this summer. The dates for Coachella are open so it looks likely.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs – New album coming out this summer and the dates around Coachella are open.

Grizzly Bear 

The XX – Specifically, they’ve slotted a pair of West coast dates in between the two Coachella weekends, along with a leg of Pacific Northwest shows coinciding with this year’s Sasquatch! Music Festival in May. [Consequence of Sound]

Alabama Shakes 

Sigur Rós – West coast tour ends right as Coachella kicks off and a date in San Francisco is scheduled between the first and second weekends. [Evidence]

Aesop Rock – Confirmed he will be playing while on stage. [Evidence]
