Sports Science Knew About Colin Kaepernick in 2011

John Brenkus, and the Sports Science crew knew there was something special about Colin Kaepernick two years ago, when they tested out his athletic prowess. They tested out Kaepernick’s eye to release time, which was a mind blowing 0.640 seconds. He was also able to back pedal and pass a ball over two rushers, into a 3 foot wide target from 20 yards away 80%. To put that into perspective, it’s the equivalent of shooting a basketball into a hoop while back pedalling to the top of the key, at the other end of the court. They also covered Colin’s speed which reached 22+ MPH vs the Packers noting how for every 5 yards Kaepernick ran, the Packers only covered 4. This kid very well may be the truth.
