After a successful weekend event at MetLife Stadium last May Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) will be returning to the New York City area again in 2013. Watch a two minute recap of the 2012 event here >>
EDC will bring a spectacular display of special effects, state-of-the-art lighting and sound. We’re also hoping they bring all the carnival rides again because the Zipper was arguable our favorite part of the entire weekend.
“Based on the tremendous success of the first EDC New York in 2012, there was no question that Insomniac would return to the loyal fans in New York who truly enjoy the multi-sensory experience that we create,” said Insomniac CEO, Pasquale Rotella.
Two-day general admission tickets will initially be priced at $159 with VIP tickets selling at $299 before service fees. We would highly recommend VIP if you can afford it because the minimum age is 21 and you don;t have to worry about teenagers hassling you to buy them beer.
No word on when the tickets actually go on sale (keep following their website) but with last week’s Governor’s Ball announcement and today’s news on EDC 2013 will be a good year for music festivals in New York City.
