The cast of Cool Runnings recently reunited at Calgary’s Plaza Theatre Sunday to celebrate the 20th anniversary of it’s release. Several members of the cast were on hand to sign autographs, take photos and watch a special screening of the beloved movie. Two cast members, Leon Robinson and Doug E. Doug, decided against watching the matinee saying, “Last night I watched it, and I was like ‘OK, that’s enough,’” Doug explained to Metro Calgary. “You start to get critical of yourself. You’re not watching what people are watching. You’re just thinking, ‘Wow, my head looks big. My dreadlocks look messy.’”
So this got us thinking, what is the cast up to these days? Obviously John Candy is no longer with us and Sanka Coffie is an all-star on Facebook but what about everyone else? Let’s do a quick check in.
