At some point, we all dream of moving to a house in the middle of nowhere. That doesn’t mean we have to sit in a log cabin, twiddling our thumbs between bear hunts like some crazed modern day Grizzly Adams. Thanks to Platt Architecture you can live the mountain man life in style. The house is built to look like a bridge and is actually located over a stream in Cashiers, North Carolina in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The house features high ceilings (with trusses for extra rustic flair!), a spiral staircase, and stone accents throughout. Giant windows look out to the surrounding wilderness, so feel free to walk around sans robe in the morning while you sip on your coffee and wonder how the city folk can stand having to wear pants around their homes.
