The infamous unfinished cathedral in Barcelona, Spain that commenced construction in 1882 has released a rendering of completion. In 1883 Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudí took the reigns of design and ventured in what would be one of the longest architectual projects in modern civilization. Gaudí’s design is the core to the entire project, having renowned catalanian architects hault the project at the first sign straying from his design. Gaudí died in 1926, while the project was less than 25% finished, and since had some hiccups, but as of today has a finished projected date of 2026, a century after it’s fathers passing. The cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site, has released a new video that illustrates what the completed cathedral will look like.
