Sunglasses Made From Reclaimed Louisville Slugger Bats

It’s Opening Day so why not wear sunglasses with reclaimed ash wood from old, cracked or broken Louisville Slugger bats? Yes, baseball fan boys this is a real thing.

Eyewear brand Shwood and legendary baseball bat manufacturer Louisville Slugger teamed up to produce this limited edition collection that launches today in conjunction with MLB’s Opening Day for the 2014 season. Made in the United States, both framestyles will be offered as part of the Shwood Original and Shwood Select collections, with either a flame-tempered or paint-dipped process finish. The Original models come paired with a branded wool pouch and a custom trading card. The Select kit includes: a matching limited-edition bat, a custom trading card, a leather travel case with Slugger branding and a wood display box.

Ranging in price from $250.00 to $495.00, for the Shwood Original and Shwood Select kits respectively, the limited edition Louisville Slugger designs are available now at select Nordstrom locations and online at www.shwoodshop.com.
