Now You Can Explore The ISS In Virtual Reality Via Oculus

We all dream of going to space, but the chances of that actually happening are slim to nil. After all, only about 500 people have ever even been to space! But now, thanks to Oculus, NASA, the European Space Agency, and the Canadian Space Agency, you can get closer than ever before.

Mission:ISS is a true-to-life simulation that lets you explore the International Space Station in virtual reality and feel what it’s like to be in space in a way never before possible. In addition to exploring the ISS — which has been painstakingly recreated using NASA Space Station models, discussions with multiple astronauts, and the VR Laboratory at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston — you’ll also be able to “feel” the ISS. With the Oculus Touch, you can use your virtual hands to dock incoming cargo capsules, conduct spacewalks, and perform mission-critical tasks.

Mission:ISS is available free of charge for Oculus Rift and Touch from Oculus.
