Ferris Bueller Is Back And He’s Eating Domino’s Pizza

It has been 31 years since Ferris Bueller’s Day Off premiered, but there is no denying that the classic film still has a place in popular culture. Domino’s Pizza recognizes this, which is why the chains’ latest commercials feature the iconic character — and the unforgettable house he lived in — with just one small change: Matthew Broderick has been replaced by Joe Keery of Stranger Things. That’s right, Steve Harrington is now the one hopping fences and rushing home while the English Beat’s “March of the Swivelheads” plays. There are plenty of other nods to the film in the ads, too, including an appearance from the original Cameron, Alan Ruck. While we have no problem revisiting the character for a couple quirky commercials, let’s just hope that some doofus Hollywood exec sees these and starts getting some ideas…
