Watch NOAA Hurricane Hunters Fly Through The Eye Of Hurricane Irma

Hurricane Irma, the most powerful Atlantic Ocean hurricane in recorded history, is currently barraging the northeast Caribbean with 185 mph winds and rain. While most sensible folks would flee such a storm, the insanely brave — or possibly just insane — NOAA Hurricane Hunters are flying into Irma to gather info about the storm. Thankfully they are flying in a Lockheed WP-3D Orion with a max speed of 466 mph, so the winds aren’t as big of a problem as one would think. In fact, after watching this video, I think the biggest concern is ensuring there’s enough clean underwear onboard for everyone to change in to.
