  • Welcome Back Alfa Romeo! New Alfa Romeo 4C

    After a long hiatus from production in the US, Alfa Romeo is planning to mass produce the new 4C for distribution in the US. This new vehicle will be Alfa Romeo’s first release in the US in almost 20 years! The car is set to be released some time either Fall 2013 or early 2014 but the specific details have not yet been announced. Although prices too have not yet been determined, a rough conversion estimate puts the 4C on sale for about $78,000 US Dollars. Some even say it will cost around $60,000 but nothing can be sure until they do go on sale. For those of you who are interested, they will be made at a Maserati factory in Modena, Italy and upon completion about half of them are set to be shipped to Fiat dealerships in the US. Fiat dealerships are also set to release 5 more Alfa Romeos by 2016. This will be a long overdue welcome for the Italian manufacturer who hasn’t had a car in the US market since 1995.     The new Model S from Tesla has been selling like hotcakes in the American market. Beating sales of similar priced sedans by Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi. Sales for this electric plug-in has even beaten those of cars in the same market, topping sales for both the Chevrolet Volt and the Nissan Leaf during the first quarter of the 2013 market. This all electric premium sedan, depending on the battery pack chosen, can go anywhere from 208 to 265 miles per charge. The Model S has a miles per gallon gasoline equivalent (MPGge) of 89-95 miles which is pretty amazing compared to the standard luxury sedan which gets maybe around 16-20 miles per gallon. The Model S has 0 emissions and can go from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. It doesn’t get any better than this!
