• The Forbidden Island: 37 Stunning Photos from Inside Cuba

Photographer unknown and embedded via noticaribe With over 2 million inhabitants Havana is the capital of Cuba and the largest, and arguably most influential, city in the Caribbean. But the vast majority of Americans have never seen what the “Pearl of the Antilles” actually looks like from the inside. Now that American and Cuban relations are on the mend there is a good chance Cuba could become one of the leading tourism hot-spots for Americans like it was before the revolution in the late 1950’s.

  • RSVLTS Happy Hour At Ainsworth Hoboken [57 Photos]

Earlier this month the much anticipated Ainsworth Hoboken allowed us to take over their entire restaurant to throw a grand opening party. John and I were blown away by all the excitement surrounding the happy hour and how many people came out in RSVLTS gear to celebrate. I like to think it was because people wanted to get weird with us, but it’s probably because there was a free open bar. We’ll never know. Either way, we’re so proud to call Hoboken home and you can expect a few surprises from RSVLTS this spring and summer so follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep in touch. • Minor League Baseball Team, ‘Hartford Yard Goats’ Officially Name Team After Our ‘Goats Yelling Like Humans’ Video

A couple years ago while in Puerto Rico, and respectably drunk from a long night of crushing Miami Vices, I thought it would be hilarious to create a super cut compilation of goats yelling like humans. I remember it like it was yesterday because the idea seemed so dumb. The video went up on the RSVLTS YouTube page, one thing led to another and 30 million views later it is one of the iconic YouTube videos of all-time. That’s not really even an exaggeration. G.Y.L.H. has been featured on Jimmy Kimmel, Zuckerberg used it in Facebook’s year in review, it was in two different Super Bowl commercials this year, created an entire music craze and so much more. I’m now forever tied to goats and people even bring goats to parties so I can hold them and take pictures. Who would have thought? It’s all pretty weird if you ask me. And just when I thought the buzz finally died down, and I can stop humble bragging by sharing links on my Facebook Wall, the goats come back around like Terminator. It’s like clockwork. But today might be the benchmark day in Goats history. According to SB Nation an entire minor more »

  • 32 Stunning Photos That Show Why Aruba’s Nickname Is One Happy Island

Averaging 82 sunny degrees year round, with blond beaches and turquoise shallows, Aruba lets the climate do the talking when it comes to appealing to tourists. Beach lovers flock here, happy to claim a spot on the beach with a cold Balashi beer in hand. But the Dutch island’s manageable 20-by-6-mile dimensions and its diverse landscape — calm and sandy on one coast, rough and rocky on the other — make it an explorer’s island, too.

  • 36 GIFS That Perfectly Describe Being a Seton Hall Basketball Fan in 2015

You may or may not know that RSVLTS was founded by two Seton Hall Pirates. John and I are huge fans of the Pirates, but we also know from a decade long roller coaster of emotion, that being a SHU fan is tough. Our recent history has been plagued by 10-game winning streaks, followed by crushing back-to-back-to-back losses, and 2015 is no different. A once promising season has fallen to such lows the Randolph High School Rams’ JV team would be a worrisome match.  It ain’t easy when you bleed Pirate blue, so here’s a run down of the 2014-15 season in the best way we could describe it, GIFs. • The 50 Most Popular People On Instagram in 2015

When it come to being the King of the social media hill there is Instagram, and there is everyone else. A recent study showed that Instagram was the fastest growing major social network among U.S. adults last year and the photo-sharing app, which is now used by 26% of the American population, and more than half (53%) of young adults aged 18- to 29, will continue to expand it’s dominance over the social space for the foreseeable future as networks like Twitter, Pinterest and Reddit have seen a decline and Facebook has flatlined. If you’ve used any of those networks less in the last year you are not alone. Right? So let’s take a look at the people who are running the show in 2015. We’ve combed through Instagram statistics to pull together the following list of the 50 Most Popular People on Instagram in 2015. This is not just a list about Instagram. • A Scientist Explains How #DeflateGate Might Be A Massive Misunderstanding

Tom Brady just went on national TV and used Bill Clinton’s “deny ’til you die” strategy like a seasoned vet. Now ESPN heads are losing their mind over a Tom Brady conspiracy, Mark Brunell literally started squirting tears on air. But what if all this is a big misunderstanding? Share this story with your friends: Tweet A Reddit user who is a Ravens fan, and also a scientist, used the Gay-Lussac’s Gas Law of gasses to offer an explanation as to what could have possibly caused this whole #DeflateGate controversy, and why it might be a big misunderstanding. Feel free to check my math but using gas law physics, the calculations show that if the Patriots’ balls were inflated to 12.5 PSI before the game at room temperature (around 70 degrees), then they would only be 11.1 PSI at 50 degrees Fahrenheit. That 1.4 PSI drop is pretty close to what the NFL found, and if it was colder than 50 degrees when it was measured it would have dropped even more. Here’s the math: Using Gay-Lussac’s Gas Law, P1/T1 = P2/T2 Assuming the balls were inflated to 12.5 psi at room temperature (25C, 298K). That means the pressure in the ball more »

  • Huge Changes Coming To Pizza Hut Starting Nov 19th. Here Is What We Know…

Pizza Hut has been a favorite during parties at RSVLTS HQ for a long time, just check out our buddy Matt in the photo above crushing some Pizza Hut at our office warming party back in April. But even though we’ve been ordering our fair share of delivery, Pizza Hut has been struggling for two years as consumers are becoming more interested in exotic flavors and personalized options. One look at Tony Boloney’s menu will show you where the market is headed. To combat slumping sales the world’s largest pizza chain on Monday announced a drastic plan to turn upside down almost every facet of its identity with all new branding, the doubling of its available ingredients, including sriracha, curry and buffalo, a 250 calorie “Skinny Pizza” and the largest ad campaign in it’s history, as reported by USA Today.

  • Budweiser’s Classic Bottles Look Great In The RSVLTS Beer Fridge

Ahh the vintage beer craze. Just when you thought it was going to peak with Miller Lite’s 1970s-era cans Budweiser decided to jump on board with their limited edition #HolidayBuds campaign. We were lucky enough to receive a classic inspired wooden crate, which were released across America this week, and we must tip our hat to the King of Beers, because they actually did a great job not only with the crates, which were handmade by a North Carolina shop called Vintage Editions, but also with the bottle labels which are exact replicas from Budweiser’s past, 1918 (beginning of Prohibition), 1933 (end of Prohibition) or 1976 (the brand’s 100th anniversary).

  • Bacardi Triangle: A Weekend Jaunt to Puerto Rico for Pool Parties, Halloween Cocktails and Calvin Harris [Photos + GIFS]

You can expect three things from Bacardi in 2015. Music, travel and parties. This past weekend we got to experience a taste of what is to come in the next year and as you’ll see from our photos and GIFS, it’s glorious! The world’s most popular rum producer has found that simply slapping their name on title sponsorship of a pre-existing event is not an effective marketing tactic anymore as their fans, who just so happen to “align perfectly with RSVLTS,” according to Bacardi brand reps, are seeking more of an immersive, memorable and epic experiences. We agree. With that knowledge Bacardi has decided to take the lead by producing their very own travel adventures that blend music with exotic party atmospheres to give their fans the opportunity to have a few cocktails in paradise and snap absurdly amazing photos to share with friends who are anxiously following along at home. — Help a bro out, share this story with your friends: Tweet — The first event in this new initiative, which will be expanded upon even further in 2015, was Bacardi Triangle, a three day, super exclusive music festival and travel adventure for 1,862 lucky Bacardi fans, celebrities and lucky friends more »

  • Priory Gets The Weekend Started At RSVLTS HQ [RSVLTS Live]

I got a text message from my friend Anthony from the Elvis Duran Morning Show on Thursday October 15th at 4:30pm saying that I need to check out “Weekend” by a new band named Priory. The name Priory sounded very familiar and as it turned out their publicist Brooke had emailed me two days before about doing some press because they were in New York City for the weekend to mark the launch of their new EP Weekend which dropped last week.  I was also very familiar with their song “Weekend” as it’s getting regular rotation of ESPN GameDay every week so something needed to be done. On a whim I emailed Brooke back, she gave me a call and after a few minutes of small talk she said the band would be available to stop by RSVLTS HQ the following morning to perform a couple of their hit songs. It all escalated very quickly. Fast forward 18 hours later and the band rolled up to our parking lot in their royal blue converted shuttle bus that serves as their home away from home on the road. • Who Should Be On The New York Yankees’ Mount Rushmore? [Vote Now]

There has been a lot of debate whether or not Derek Jeter deserves to be on the New York Yankees’ theoretical “Mount Rushmore”. There are four spots to fill, one needs to be Babe Ruth, that is hardly debatable, but what about the other three? For a team with 21 numbers retired numbers and an owner who changed baseball forever we want to settle the argument and allow the fans to vote.

  • RSVLTS Baseball Movie Character All-Star Voting Starts Today!

We love baseball movies. They’re so quotable. “There’s no crying in baseball.” “Hot ice.” etc. We’ve gone through Hollywood’s extensive history of fictional baseball characters and leading up to this year’s MLB All-Star game we’re having a movie baseball player showdown. Movie baseball player All-Star lists have been done in the past but never before has anyone ever held a fan vote on the web. Now the masses are left to call the shots. It’s simple, review each position, select your favorite players (remember, like the MLB All-Star voting, this is a popularity contest) and on July 7th we will announce the team.

  • 35 GIFS That Perfectly Describe Life In Hoboken, NJ

Hoboken. The beautiful town right across the Hudson that your “New York” friends look upon with a smug distain. Well those city folk can keep their Citi Bikes and overpriced groceries, we’ll keep our skyline view and wide array of watering holes (the most within any square mile in the country). Being that we just moved into our new downtown Hoboken RSVLTS digs, we thought it would be fitting to share our thoughts on the town we’ve grown to love in the only way we know how. GIFS. • That Time We Took The New Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid Offroading In Key West [60 HQ Photos]

Last month we took the new Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid on an epic Florida Keys adventure. In the story RSVLTS Goes On A Florida Keys Excursion With The New Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid [HQ Photos] we gave you a detailed account on our trip and the blueprint for a great Key West trip with your bros or a significant other. RSVLTS was the first group to push the XV Crosstrek Hybrid’s all-terrain capabilities to the limits in order to see parts of the Keys no one else could. With dozens of Keys within a short drive on Key West you can easily go on an offroading adventure which is what we did for an entire day with the brand new  XV Crosstrek Hybrid. Putting it’s capabilities to the test, like ground clearance of 8.7 inches, which is higher than some dedicated SUVs like the Jeep Grand Cherokee, we were able to see things that people driving other Hybrids like a Prius, and SUVs for that matter, simply could not. The all-terrain capabilities of the XV Crosstrek Hybrid were quite remarkable. We were climbing hills and going over bumps that were really intimidating but the all-wheel drive hybrid handled it all without batting an more »

  • Super Storm Sandy in Hoboken: Then and Now Photos [RSVLTS Original]

It’s been one year since Hoboken was devastated by Superstorm Sandy. One of the most popular stories in RSVLTS.com history was A First Look At Hurricane Sandy’s Destruction of Hoboken, NJ [70 HQ Photos]. The story captured the chaos and confusion that followed in the days post Superstorm. We were contacted by teachers, museums and news sources looking to use pictures featured in the story to educate students and the public across the country looking for a first hand encounter. To celebrate the honor of being named a “MTV Artist to Watch” the band performed an intimate show at Webster Hall’s The Studio for roughly 100 diehard fans. The set was live streamed over the web and their label hooked us up with a photo pass to capture all the action. The band absolutely crushed it.
