Earlier today, Bumbloods released the last episode in a four part miniseries about two unlikely roommates trying to survive during a zombie apocalypse. Why do I know about this? Joe Bandelli, co-creator of the show, was a fraternity brother. What makes the story particularly interesting is that Bandelli transitioned to a career in filmmaking after a few years of pursuing the corporate finance route. He writes, directs, produces, and stars in Bumbloods – along with co-creator Matthew Wise. Bandelli and Wise funded the show primarily with their own funds – and they successfully launched anIndiegogo campaign to raise an additional $3,500. Depending on the level of your contribution, the Bumbloods co-creators allowed fans the opportunity to become a part of the show. Depending on their size, contributions could get you anywhere from a HD copy of the pilot, recognition in the credits or a role as a zombie.
