Emily DiDonato might not have been named 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue Rookie of the Year, the honor went to Kate Bock, but it doesn’t mean we can’t expect big things from the 22 year-old model who was born and raised in upstate New York. She is currently the face of Giorgio Armani’s fragrance Acqua Di Gioia (yes, the cologne that everyone wore in middle school) and we can also see her in the photos below modeling Oysho swimwear’s summer 2013 collection.

Kate Upton may have landed the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit issue for a second year in a row but the real story should be the 2013 rookie class. Since the issue was released earlier this month Hannah Davis, Kate Bock, Emily DiDonato and Natasha Barnard have seen a massive growth in popularity. Rookie of the Year voting wrapped up today and @MJ_Day revealed that Kate Bock wont he fan vote. Historically speaking this means Bock is going to have a wildly successful career and is on the fast track to cover model status.

Kate Upton may have landed the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit issue for a second year in a row but the real story should be the 2013 rookie class as revealed in this leak by Fashioncopious.com. Two rookie beauties, Katherine Webb and Hannah Davis, are already well-known for their high profile relationships and career moves that include commercial and modeling successes. The other three models on the list have had success in their own right and the appearance in 2013 Swimsuit will send their name into the Google Search stratosphere when the issue is released on February 12th. Our early favorite for Rookie of the Year would have to go to Hannah Davis who landed a coveted placement on this year’s cover, see the upper right corner. Back in 2011, Kate Upton landed this placement on the cover and eventually was crowned Rooie of the Year.

It proved to be good advice. Vogue Germany dubbed her a “top newcomer” and she has made appearances for Guess, Victoria’s Secret and several other big names. We named her to our Women Who Will Dominate 2013 list but little did we know our prediction she would have a big year would mean she landed a rookie spot in Sports Illustrated.
