• First Look at Summer’s New Best Friend, the Jordan Eclipse

In their latest push for shoes differentiating themselves from the basketball spectrum, Jordan Brand has announced the release of a new casual style shoe, called the The Jordan Eclipse, a sportswear shoe designed with comfort and flexibility being the two main focus points. The shoe is lightweight and breathable making it the quintessential summer day shoe. From the design of the shoe, you can tell the Jordan team took notice of the distinguishable styles between their traditional bulky basketball shoe and a simpler, sleeker upper with a minimalist lower. Unlike traditional footwear design, the shoe features a deconstructed textile upper allowing for lightweight breathability using a cross hatch patten, while the Neoprene tongue provides a comfortable fit, similar to the feel of a Nike Huarache. The shoe will be available at Jordan.com and at select retailers on April 1 for a suggested retail price of $110.

  • Michael Jordan Plays Golf Like a 1920’s Mob Boss

Michael Jordan can do whatever we wants, see. If his Air-ness wants to play golf chewing down on an enormous stogie, he can, see. And don’t get wise about telling him otherwise or you’ll be taking a dirt nap with that no good rat Horace Grant. Jordan enjoys a good day out on the course as much as the next guy, but he’s been making waves when this video surfaced of him teeing off at the Derek Jeter Celebrity Invitational in Las Vegas with a rather large cigar, making him a true boss of bosses. Sure he could’ve paid Ray Allen or Jeter a cool million to hold it while he tees off, but why when he could just bite down and drive a ball 300 yards? ESPN Notes “People obsess over game-worn Jordans and there’s definite value to the fact that these are the earliest ones that have surfaced,” said SCP Auctions vice president Dan Imler said. Imler said he could see the shoes drawing bids past the $50,000. In 2013, a pair of shoes Jordan wore during the infamous “Flu Game,” also acquired by a ballboy, sold for $104,765, a record price paid for a pair of game-used shoes in any sport.
