  • Jimmy Fallon and Ice T show the Insane Capabilities of PS4

Jimmy and Dr. Richard Marx with the accompaniment of Ice T, show the interactive capabilities of the Playstation console. The new controller has a huge list of vast improvements including a touchpad, speaker and mist machine (one of those is incorrect), but the real talents come with the sensors. With over 1 million pre-orders already PS4 has had quite a bit of hype surrounding it and from the looks of things, it just might live up to the chatter. [h/t] Brobible

  • Patrick Willis Took An Internship WIth Infinity Ward, The Makers of Call of Duty: Ghosts [Video]

SportsNation ESPN recently released a comedic video of San Francisco 49ers star linebacker, Patrick Willis interning at Infinity Ward Studios. In it, Willis does voice acting—where he throws in a pigskin-esque twist to military jargon. In addition, Willis dons a suit where he participates in some cutting edge motion capture technology. Ironically, his suit is black and teal—something that, when he was simulating getting killed, felt like something of an allusion to the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2013 NFL Season.

  • Top 11 Most Anticipated Games For Late 2013 and 2014

With the  release of the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One coming in November, anticipation is beginning to mount among gamers across the world. Late 2013 and early 2014 will see the release of several games that will render the seventh generation of gaming as a distant memory. With the holiday season and the New Year on the horizon, game shopping can be slightly overwhelming. Luckily, RSVLTS is here to provide a list of the ten most anticipated games for the remainder of 2013 and for the entirety 2014.

  • RSVLTS Exclusive Hands On Preview of Watch Dogs

With burgeoning levels of popularity, open-world sandboxes seem poised to dominate the eighth generation of gaming consoles. Among the upcoming titles of the aforementioned genre is Watch Dogs—the cyberpunk dystopia- set game that takes place in a digitally reimagined version of Chicago. The game’s protagonist is Aiden Pearce—a dark anti-hero who is a technically gifted individual with a knack for ruthlessness, stealth tactics, and hacking using his smart phone. His motive for such behavior is simple; there is an operating system running Chicago called “CTOS”—a network of computers that an unknown figure used to harm his family. Hence, Pearce—a vengeance-minded individual—sets out to discover who committed the act. Demoing the Playstation 4 version of the game was Dominic Guay—a senior producer at Ubisoft’s Montreal office. During the demo, Guay showed off a portion of one of the game’s missions. This saw Pearce doing some Assassin’s Creed-reminiscent parkour moves up to a balcony where a man named Jordi Chin was waiting. A shady man with a dubious friendship to Pearce—something that was seen by Guay explicitly referring to Chin as a “contact”– he gave the game’s protagonist a tip as to where to find a man of interest. • RSVLTS First Look At Destiny, From The Creator Of Halo

With the new generation of consoles on the horizon, companies are already starting to tout the games that will be available in the upcoming wave of game systems like Xbox One and PS4. Among these games is “Destiny”—a first person shooter game being published by Activision and developed by Bungie, the latter being the company that created the legendary Halo franchise. When creating the game, it is clear that Bungie wants to take the game to interplanetary levels. In Destiny, gamers will be able to explore environments that range from the “red dunes of Mars,”the “lush jungles of Venus,” and—much to the late Jackie Gleason’s delight—the Moon. All of this space exploration will be in the interest of defending the last human stronghold on Earth, which has been jeopardized by alien life forms. While RSVLTS has yet to get a hands-on look at the game, it is clear that it is the joint ambition of Bungie and Activision to trump all of their past efforts—including the renowned “Halo” and “Call of Duty” franchises. This is seen by a recent statement made by President and Chief Executive Officer of Activision, Eric Hirshberg (right), “We’re putting all our creative support, all our expertise in creating blockbuster franchises.” more »
