• Lucas Theatre in Savannah Creates Amazing Original Movie Posters

Originally built in 1921, Savannah’s Lucas Theatre is a cultural mecca in the city’s bustling arts scene. The venue hosts operas, touring music acts, and orchestras, but is most popular for its original purpose as a movie house. In addition to hosting the Savannah Film Festival, the Lucas Theatre also regularly shows classic films. But instead of using old posters we’ve seen far too many times before, the theatre employs illustrator Sean Loose to create original works. Some of our favorites are below, but be sure to check out more of Sean’s work at Behance and Loose Illustration.

  • Would You Spend A Night In This Terrifying LEGO Hotel?

LEGO. So hot right now on the web. The 64 year old brand is entering it’s senior years in the middle of a resurgence in everything from daily household products like salt and pepper shakers and ice cube trays to being used in architecture like this hotel in Carlsbad, CA. The good people at LEGO Land have taken it to a whole new level, creating a LEGO themed hotel. We love LEGO just as much as the other guy but we can’t decide it this hotel is creepy or awesome. I bet the final product will be totally cool but right now with the dimly lit castle room and the empty hallways we conjure up images of Jack Nicholson in The Shining. So we gotta ask, if you have kids would you take them to stay at this LEGO hotel? If you voted ‘yes’ maybe the GIFs bellow will sway your decision…
