Wine doesn’t just enhance a delicious meal. As it turns out, those who imbibe the fermented grape beverage also experience a host of health benefits. Thanks to resveratrol and polyphenols, wine might help with weight loss, preventing the common cold, lowering the risk of certain cancers and more. Of course, as with the benefits of any alcoholic beverage, the advantages don’t increase with consumption, so as much as we’d all like to drink bottle after bottle Gerard Depardieu-style, we’re much better off sticking to just a glass or two. Damn.
