On NBC’s Parks and Recreation, Ron Swanson was characterized by a love of meat, whiskey and woodworking — a role that came easy to actor Nick Offerman because he really loves all of those things, especially woodworking. In fact, Offerman has his own wood shop in Los Angeles where he and his team “like to carve spoons, chainsaw stumps, plank canoes, keep our chisels sharp with stones, build pinball machines & fine furniture.”
Last year, Offerman stopped by long-running PBS DIY show This Old House and imparted some of his woodworking wisdom. Recently host Kevin O’Connor repaid the favor and dropped by Offerman’s impressive wood shop. Check out the segment below and try not to immediately want to build something.
