Burning Man began in 1986 when a small group of artists got together on San Francisco’s Baker Beach for a bonfire ritual culminating with the burning of a 9-foot effigy. In 1990, it moved to the Black Rock Desert in Nevada, becoming a multi-day event.
Burning Man is now an 8-day extravaganza with 70,000 participants — quite a difference from it small artsy roots. As such, it now attracts tons of celebs and thanks to social media, those of us on the other side of the country can check out the action without ever setting foot in the desert.
While there are always plenty of beautiful women at Burning Man, this year seemed to attract an inordinate number of Victoria’s Secret models. And that’s just fine with us.
