NASA Rocket Scientists Are Also Incredible Pumpkin Carvers

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to carve a pumpkin — but it certainly doesn’t hurt! And for proof, look no further than the annual pumpkin carving contest at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.

Each year, the NASA eggheads take a break from designing spacecraft to try their hand at a little jack-o’-lantern carving here on terra firma and each year they blow our lame grinning gourds out of the water. This year’s contest featured a clipper ship, Ghostbusters and an unbelievable motorized supernova that you can check out below.

And don’t worry, for while you may not be a NASA rocket scientist with incredible talent in all facets of life, you can always sport our Wolves of Mars Bomber Jacket and feel like you’re part of the team.
