My First RSVLTS Moment

When Harper entered the world last month, she was immediately greeted by three familiar faces. Mom. Dad. And Prison Mike.

You see, Mom and Dad live on a ranch in the middle of a national forest (Thanks Teddy), and don’t have access to stream anything on the internet. Instead, Brandon and his wife rough it the wilderness pioneer style, either checking out movies and TV shows from their local library or, in the case of one of their favorite shows like The Office, buying the complete series on DVD. Michael, Dwight, Jim, Pam, (and unfortunately Toby) have become like family members in the Morrison household. The Office is left playing at their house like some leave on the radio, especially if Mrs. Morrison has anything to say about it.

Because of this, wearing the Prison Mike shirt was a natural choice for Brandon. Life in the wilderness can be as rough as prison sometimes, especially when it comes to food. Gruel. Sandwiches. Gruel omelets. Nothing but gruel. Plus, you can eat your own hair. Okay, maybe not that last one, but needless to say, The Office remained as a natural reprieve from the threat of constant doom scrolling, existential dread, and covid lockdowns.

So when it came time for their princess to be born, Dad immediately knew what shirt he had to wear to meet her. Under the hospital provided scrubs and PPE, Brandon proudly donned his Prison Mike apparel. Now The Office, Prison Mike, and RSVLTS will forever be a part of their beautiful baby girl Harper’s story.

Thank you, Brandon, for sharing your RSVLTS Moment! We are proud to be a part of your extraordinary experience! And please, watch out for those Dementors--we hear they are the worst part.
