Yoda One That I Want - A RSVLTS Love Story

A long time ago, in a galaxy quite like our own, RSVLTS insiders Jeremy and his fiancé Amy fell in love. Now, this love took some time to develop, as Jeremy and his fiancé had known each other for years before they started dating, even at one point standing on opposite sides of a bride and groom as best man and maid of honor for mutual friends. However, a little over four years ago, both Jeremy and his fiancé got tired of flying Solo and decided to give dating a try. Neither one of them could have guessed that they would end up where they are now, and frankly, they couldn't be happier!

It is because of this love that Jeremy knew it was time to pop the big question. No, not what color lightsaber is best, or how Palpatine survived that fall into the reactor core—the other big question: Will you marry me? The time was right, and the trip to Disney World was booked. There was only one problem, Disney World was full of all kinds of magic: like Star Destroyers and Lightsabers, and Ronto Wraps and Baby Yoda—things Jeremy knew little about. So, like a youngling at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Jeremy got to work. He made it a point to spend time with his Star Wars fanatic fiancé and watch all the movies, even taking the time to binge-watch the Mandalorian and stocking up on the RSVLTS shirts before they began their trip.

Armed with his Star Wars "Mando Montage" Kunu Shirt, a ring in his pocket, and a background that is quite literally out of this world, Jeremy was ready. Having spent the morning setting up an extra special moment with Cast Members throughout Batuu, Jeremy was prepped and ready to go! Monitoring his watch closely and dodging rain droplets falling through the park, he reached the Falcon just in time to meet the photographer and other employees excited to make this moment happen. Jeremy got down on one knee, pulled out the ring, and asked the one question Amy wanted to hear, "Why did Obi-Wan fail to recognize R2-D2, despite literally fighting a whole war with…." Okay. I'll stop. Anyway, she said yes! Everyone around them cheered, including the Guests, Cast Members, droids, resistance fighters, and rebel spies as the bright suns of Batuu shined down. This was the way.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but in this instance, it is worth at least five: "I love you. I know." Thank you, Jeremy and Amy, for letting us be part of your RSVLTS Moment. We hope you have many, happy, light-years together!
