When thinking of Disney's iconic Mickey Mouse character, a couple of things come immediately to mind. Considering the character himself & his temperament, you'd likely see him as a bit of an everyman. An average Joe, who reacts to his kooky environment & the other characters that populate it, more than instigates things himself. Thinking of the classic shorts, he's more often than not the straight man to Pluto, Goofy, & Donald's antics. Thinking about his design, you're likely to picture either his ears or his gloves. Per Walt Disney himself, "We didn't want him to have mouse hands, because he was supposed to be more human. So we gave him gloves. Five Fingers looked like too much on such a little figure, so we took one away. That was just one less finger to animate." Those gloves, set against a sort of celestial backdrop, are the focus here.
