Springy’s Carnival of Curiosities Has Come to Town!
At first glance, these are creepy carnival shirts made for Spooky Season: sinister snacks, strange characters, and amusement park rides you’d think twice about boarding. Wear them for the chills. But look a little closer and you may start asking questions. Why does the carnival keep returning to Camp Kunu every few decades? Where do its missing counselors and attendees go? And what, exactly, is powering the rides?
Every few decades, Springy’s Carnival of Curiosities appears at Camp Kunu, and this year we're focusing Ghoulsevelts Series II on the whole gang. No one seems to know who brings the festivities to camp, and some counselors never make it back when the carnival leaves town. Still, the midway fills up every time. Springy, the clown at its center, bounces around the carnival as if tethered to it. Some say his debt is still being paid, though no one knows to whom. Either way, as Camp Kunu legend goes, when the first leaf of fall hits the ground, strange and unusual things start to creep around camp.

Sinister Snacks: Chunk the Chef serves static spider cotton candy, centipede pretzels, fresh “meat” glizzies, and kitchen sink funnel cake. His menu might make your skin crawl. The cotton candy might make your hair stand on end. Don’t ask about the secret ingredient.

Harry the Sasquatch: Harry helps run the games and repair the rides. He means well, but a missing lug nut can send a rider much farther than the exit platform.

From the Mind of Dr. Zappe: Step inside the sketches and schemes of the scientist who invents Springy’s attractions. His unfinished Tycoon Coaster and giant jack-in-the-box are built to get hearts racing. Whether every rider survives is, to Zappe, another experimental result. His rides don't just thrill people, they kill them too... in the name of science, of course.
Dig a little deeper
Zappe’s instruments detected an immense source of energy beneath Camp Kunu’s ancient Heartwood Oak. He believes he can combine that power with energy captured from the elevated heartbeats of carnival guests. The rides are his way of generating it, even when the experiments turn deadly.
And Zappe wants far more than a powered midway. Since discovering a fragment of what he believes may be ancient and/or alien technology, he’s become convinced it holds the key to time and space. Domingo Resto, founder of Resto Corp and Zappe’s longtime nemesis, has been watching his work closely. He's been keeping an eye on Zappe and has plans of his own for what he might unlock.
