Ahoy Mateys! Grab yourself a stool as we regale ye wit' a tale o' tales. One dat's sure t' send shivers down yer spine...
Robert McKunu was a sailor’s son with a scrapper’s grin and a mind sharper than a cutlass. He survived by wit, speed, and a knack for slipping through trouble like fog through rigging. He signed onto Captain Barnabas Seabeard’s crew as a deckhand, rose fast through the ranks, and earned the title of First Mate not through loyalty, but through sheer competence. And while Barnabas barked orders and chased glory, McKunu watched. Counted. Learned. Because he didn’t dream of ruling the seas, he dreamed of the freedom to sail into adventure at will without fear of constant battle around every corner… and so, he waited until the perfect moment in time to make his move. But first, he'd have to wait for Captain Seabeard to make his...

Captain Barnabas Seabeard’s nefarious plan to amass the greatest treasure in history begins here. Feast your eyes on the actual Jolly Rogers of some of the most notorious pirates in history. From Blackbeard to Bartholomew “Black Bart” Roberts and more seafaring scalawags, it’s a hall of infamy.
Seabeard’s scheme? Amidst tense times at sea, he called a meeting of all captains and their crews to Tortuga Island. To make peace. To sort out whose waters be whose. For the betterment of all pirates. Or so he would have them believe. Little did they know this wasn’t a destination – it was a dead end…

Drink-in the immediate aftermath of Barnabas Seabeard’s sinister plot. “Here’s to the prosperity of all pirates!” he exclaimed. But while he and his crew enjoyed some ceremonial rum, the unwitting others chugged something with a little more kick. As is “kick the brine bucket.” For the wily Cap poisoned ‘em all, clearing the path to grab the spoils from their ships. The greatest coup in seafaring history was underway, but it was anything but smooth sailing…

Tortuga Island now seasoned with freshly-poisoned pirates, it was high time for Seabeard and his crew to collect their spoils. But they soon discovered that the docked ships weren’t empty. A handful of loyal crew had stayed behind, charged with guarding their vessels and the treasures within. They were willing to give their lives to defend their loot, and ol’ Seabeard made sure they did just that. Swinging from ship to ship, he and his men made quick work of these swashbuckling stragglers. Bounty in tow, they set sail for a future filled with riches. But the biggest battle of all was just about to begin…

Mutiny in full boom!
Turns out Seabeard wasn’t the only man aboard plotting a coup. Fearing that the captain would keep all the newly-acquired treasure for himself, First Mate Robert “Redd” McKunu organized a plan to steal all of Seabeard’s bounty and disperse it among the crew. During the thievery, it was discovered that Captain Seabeard was hoarding the most priceless treasure in his secret chambers: the shirt you see before you and the others from this collection! When Seabeard caught them mid-theft, an all-out battle took place between McKunu’s gang and Seabeard loyalists. By the time the cannon’s quieted, McKunu emerged while Seabeard submerged. “I’ll get you, McKunu, if it’s the last thing I… (bubbly noises)”. McKunu and his band of bandits took the loot-filled remaining fleet and began their voyage to find a new place to call home. A place that would forever remain steeped in RSVLTS lore…
X Marks the Spot

Treasure secured and troubles behind, first mate-turned-captain Robert “Redd” McKunu searched the seas for the perfect place to set up refuge. After months of navigation and brief stops at a few famous locales, the crew finally found what they were looking for. A paradise. A haven. A place to unload their treasure. Periodically heading to mainlands to trade their loot for goods, this boisterous band of pirates always returned to their tucked away oasis to live out their lives like kings. They named it “Kunu Cove” after their beloved leader. Eventually, only McKunu remained. In a trademark act of selflessness, he buried the still-hefty remaining treasure, knowing that riches so grand would turn even the reddest heart black. He passed the secret of the isle’s location on to his son, who passed it on to his son… Today, the legendary first mate-turned-captain’s great-great-great-grandson still occupies the cove, running a little operation called “Camp Kunu.”
As for what became of Captain McKunu, no one knows for sure, but legend has it that after years of peace on Kunu Cove, after the treasure was buried, the crew dispersed, and the last of Seabeard’s shadow finally faded, McKunu stood at the shoreline one crimson sunset and realized something: he missed it. The danger. The salt. The chase. So he did what only a true anti-hero could do… he left paradise behind. With a weathered map, a fresh blade, and a heart still hungry for horizon, Captain McKunu pushed off into open water once more, not to conquer, not to hoard, but to live. To roam. To outsmart fate itself. And somewhere out there, still cutting through the black waves, sails a ship with a new flag… captained by the rogue who stole the greatest treasure in history and lived to tell the tale.
