The award winning animated series Rugrats aired as one of three inaugural “Nicktoons” beginning in 1991 & ran for 9 seasons, spawning 2 spinoffs & multiple movies. While I am a child of the 1980s & was into my teen years by the time the show premiered, I have a number of younger siblings & remember being just as riveted as they were by the humorous & insightful look at the lives of these adventurous children & their parents. So I felt zero shame & substantial excitement when RSVLTS announced its licensing deal with Nickelodeon, as I figured a Rugrats shirt would be a MUST. All of your favorites are represented – Tommy Pickles & his ride or die buddy Chuckie Finster, Phil, Lil, the menacing Angelica, Reptar & more! The shirt’s design is subtle, featuring accents very reminiscent of the 1990s, mixed in with the characters depicted. The fit is blah blah blah. It’s the perfect shirt to wear or for a lazy day of cartoon watching. And while Tommy might think that nakie is good & nakie is free, you know that just won’t cut it in the real world. People expect you to be clothed. So, order it, head home, have yourself a juice, snuggle with your blankie & go nap nap. By the time you wake up, your shirt should be on its way!
